Convenience fees and the lower statutory mail fees are no longer charged for regular online registration renewal transactions involving autos, boats, mobile homes, motorcycles and trailers or local business taxes.
Note: New online specialty tag orders, non-scheduled online tag changes and walk-in credit card transactions are not regular online transactions and in such cases a convenience fee is charged.
Tax Payment Costs: A convenience fee is charged for online Property Tax Payments.

 Note: Visa not accepted in branch offices. | Online customers can presently use their Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express to facilitate the following online payments: Property Taxes; Auto (Vehicle), Boat (Vessel) and Mobile Home Registration Renewals; and, Local Business Tax Receipt Renewals.

E-check payments are made from a regular checking account only (cashiers checks, money market checks and credit card checks, etc., are not accepted).

Note: Once your online transaction has been confirmed, you can expect to receive your hard copy receipt and materials by mail within 5 business days.
Attention: The online payment validation
only confirms your transaction and does not replace or serve as a temporary substitute for a
hard copy receipt, valid registration, tag and/or decal,
property tax receipt, or local business tax receipt.
Individuals who engage in
activities or operations that require a hard copy receipt,
valid registration, tag and/or decal, property tax receipt, or
local business tax receipt and do
not possess same are subject to law enforcement actions or
other related government proceedings.
Your hard copy
receipt, which you can expect to receive by mail within 5
business days, and the accompanying materials (such as a valid
registration, tag and/or decal, property tax receipt, or
local business tax receipt)
authenticates your payment obligation and lawful compliance.
Note: The Tax Collector's Office processes transactions for over thirty different taxing authorities operating in Polk County. Because of state law, third party internet provider costs, and commercial business practices/policies costs vary by transaction type.
